Tom Hanks plays Mister Rogers, the beloved children’s television host, as he comes to the aid of a suffering magazine writer, Lloyd Vogel, played by Mathew Rhys. Troubled journalist Vogel, gets tasked with interviewing the world’s most disarmingly kind TV host, Mister Fred Rogers. Vogel tries to probe for weak spots in Rogers’ character but finds only his own and through their interaction is encouraged, gently, to confront his own demons and issues.
