Location

The WDHS Physiotherapy Department is based in the “Chalet’ (L M Hughan Building) on the Hamilton Base Hospital Campus.

Therapy services are also provided at the Penshurst and Coleraine campuses of WDHS.

Hours of Operation

The Physiotherapy Department on the Hamilton campus operates between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays.

Physiotherapists are present for only a few sessions per week at both the Penshurst and Coleraine campuses – hours of operation can be confirmed by contacting the appropriate campus.

Prospective Staff and Students

The Physiotherapy Department utilises the skills of qualified physiotherapists who are registered to practice in the state of Victoria and allied health assistants as clinical support staff.

The Physiotherapy Department regularly hosts final year physiotherapy students for general acute, musculoskeletal and cardiopulmonary placements. Requests for placement are to be made through the Clinical Co-ordinators of the relevant school of physiotherapy. Student accommodation and assistance in Hamilton is available and can be accessed through Greater Health.
