What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy is a health profession which assists people to attain, maintain or regain functional independence in all aspects of daily living. Children or adults who are experiencing difficulty with everyday tasks may benefit from Occupational Therapy.
- Assessment and treatment of inpatients and outpatients and community clients (including home assessments) in Hamilton and the surrounding region.
- Rehabilitation
- Provision of information and advice regarding equipment to assist with independence in activities of daily living.
- Administration of the Victorian Aids & Equipment Program
Provision of Aged Care Activity Program
- Hamilton House Day Centre
- The Birches
- Grange Residential Care
Participation in multi-disciplinary programs
- Cardiac Rehabilitation
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation
- Early Intervention Play Group

The Occupational Therapy Department is located in the Hamilton House Allied Health Centre, Tyres Street Hamilton.
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm (Excluding public holidays)
