The Hamilton House Day Centre is located within the Hamilton House Allied Health Centre. Access is via Tyers Street.
Hamilton House Day Centre is a centre based HACC program that provides opportunities for support and a forum for social interaction with other people in a relaxed and safe environment as well as providing carers with a much needed respite.
A variety of recreational and therapeutic activities are provided, including games, craft work, music, cooking, gentle exercise sessions, informative talks, interesting outings, luncheons and special celebrations centering on national and international events.
The Day Centre aims to meet the health and social needs of the aged, frail and disabled residents of Hamilton and surrounding areas.
The service is provided on an outpatient basis and clients may attend from one to three days per week depending on their assessed needs.
A small fee applies to help cover transport and meal expenses. Fees can be paid on daily attendance or provision can be arranged for a monthly account to be sent.

Transport to and from the centre is available for people within the Hamilton City Boundary via the HBH bus if required. The bus has access via steps and a rear hoist for wheelchair access and for people with limited mobility.
Morning and afternoon tea and a hot or cold, two course midday meal are included in the cost of the day.
Clients are advised to supply their own small drink bottle during transportation in the hotter weather if so required.
