A home-based and centre-based district / community nursing service is provided by registered nurses / midwife based at the Merino Community Health Centre.  We offer both regular and short term care.  Regular consultations are provided for hygiene assistance, medication management, blood pressure and pulse checks. 

Short term consultations are provided for support after discharge from hospital, support during preparation before entering hospital, wound care, suture removal, ear syringing, toenail trimming, pathology (blood tests), antenatal support and postnatal support. 

We are flexible to provide the services required by clients.  If a particular service is not listed, please contact us to discuss whether this can be arranged. 

Home-based appointments are usually held in the mornings, with centre-based consultations in the afternoon.  Appointments are not necessary, but preferred.  For further information or to make an appointment contact reception.

Referral: 

A referral is not required.  However if you have received care from another hospital or healthcare facility, sharing of information helps us to help you better.
