Location
The Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) is located at the Hamilton House Allied Health Centre.
CRC is a SACS funded service to provide an outpatient multi-disciplinary rehabilitation service to enable clients who are disabled, frail, chronically ill or recovering from traumatic injury or surgery, to achieve optimal functional independence.
The CRC provides a variety of therapies by health professionals, to assist people to continue living at home in the community. Individuals are assessed and provided with a rehabilitation service program, which is best suited to their needs.
The CRC program will:
- Provide a high quality service for the best possible outcome.
- Provide ongoing therapy and support, whilst helping the client to achieve independence following illness, accident or surgery.
- Bridge the gap between hospital and home, to allow a return to everyday activities.
- Be specifically designed to meet the planned goals for the individual.
- Offer support and referral as required.

A number of group therapy sessions are available for appropriate clients. These include Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Aquatic Physiotherapy (held at the Mulleraterong Pool) and an Orthopaedic exercise group.
A referral may be made to CRC via:
- GP/Surgeon/Specialist
- Self/Family
- Health Professionals
