Community Advisory Committee welcomes WDHS Quality report
The Community Advisory Committee welcomed the release of the Western District Health Service Quality of Care report at its November meeting.
The advisory committee was established this year by WDHS, to provide a forum that will promote consumer involvement in healthcare planning and evaluation throughout the Health Service.
WDHS Chief Executive Officer Mr Jim Fletcher said the committee represents the community by making consumer perspectives known to the staff, management and Board of Directors at WDHS.
“One of the roles of the committee was to advise on the structure and the content of the annual Quality of Care Report. WDHS staff compiling the report appreciated the input provided by the committee, and the committee’s positive response to the completed document.”
The Quality of Care Report provides members of the community with an overview of how well WDHS provided services and care to patients, residents and clients. It is written and presented in a manner which is clear and easy to understand.
The Quality of Care reports are available from WDHS Hamilton, Coleraine and Penshurst campuses, or by contacting the Community Liaison Department on 55518231.
