YouthBiz Youth in Charge of Children’s Activities at Fete

When it comes to putting together activities for children to enjoy at the upcoming hospital fete, who knows better than the youth of the YouthBiz drop in centre?

When asked to come up with Children’s Activities for the fete the YouthBiz FReeZa Committee jumped into action and instantly came up with a myriad of exciting ideas. Three legged races, sack races, apple bobbing, hacky sack making, jewellery making, handball competitions and that is only the tip of the iceberg…

When planning the hospital fete, Fete co-ordinators, Jeanette Ryan and Melonie Fitzpatrick decided to get YouthBiz on board. Leanne Watt at YouthBiz suggested that the FReeZa Committee at YouthBiz would be keen to give it a go.

Fete Co-ordinator Melonie Fiztpatrick said  “The FReeZa committee came up with fresh and innovative ideas for the children’s activities they were full of inspiration and enthusiasm, they certainly have the required expertise being so close in age to their clientele!” .
“As a result the fete promises to be bigger than ever for kids” she said.

The Hospital Fete is to be held on Saturday March 21, and the FReeZa committee will be running the children’s activities in the Tyer’s Street Car Park from 10.00 -2.30pm. For a small donation children can participate in all activities and support the YouthBiz program at the same time.
