WDHS is exercising at Sheepvention
2 July 2007
Western District Health Service staff will not be sitting down on the job at this year’s Sheepvention display.
Staff will be called on to walk to Dunkeld and return on a treadmill, to promote the Health Service’s new Going for Your Life program, with recently appointed program coordinator Fran Patterson.
While they are not “pounding the pavement” WDHS staff will be available to discuss many of the programs at the Health Service.
The Physiotherapy and Dietetics Departments will promote National Osteoporosis Week, while Community Liaison will conduct a “Driver Drive” – seeking volunteer drivers for its Community Transport Program.
Frances Hewett Community Centre will celebrate 20 years of serving the community, the Diabetes Educator will be present, as well as the Sleep Clinic and Midwifery Model of Care.
Nurse Educator Faye Gumley always intrigues the youngsters at Sheepvention with her anatomical model, and the new website will be on display – www.wdhs.net.
