Penshurst prepare for 50th celebrations

A commemoration of the past and a focus on the future will mark the Penshurst and District Health Service celebrations of 50 years serving the community.

A day filled with activities has been planned for October 27, to acknowledge the Health Service’s 50th birthday. 

A planning group comprising PDHS staff and community members has organised an open day and cocktail party.

The open day will begin at 12.30pm, and will include tours of the PDHS facilities and a display of memorabilia in the Sheppard Centre.

Features of the open day to demonstrate the significance of the milestone will by the opening of the PDHS Wall of Honour, the planting of a Red Oak in the gardens, and the launch of the PDHS 50th Book.

The 50th book, commemorative win and glasses will be available for sale.

In the evening a cocktail party with a view to the future will be held in the Penshurst Hall.

The redevelopment plans for the Health Service will be unveiled during the evening. Tickets are $30 each and bookings are essential through PDHS on 5552 3000.
