New Chair at WDHS

Western District Health Service Board of Directors have elected Mrs Mary-Ann Brown as their Chairperson for the next 12 months.
Mrs Brown takes over the role following the retirement of the inaugural WDHS Chairperson Mr. Richard Walter.
Western District Health Service Chief Executive Officer Mr. Jim Fletcher said “Mrs Brown would bring a wealth of experience to the position with prior Board Executive roles with Community Health, Professional Women’s Association, immediate past Chairperson of our Quality Improvement Committee and Vice President of the Board since November 2004.”
Mrs Brown is the Office Manager of Robert Brown and Associates and hold a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Economics.
Mrs Brown said “she was delighted to be elected by her fellow Board Members and was looking forward to the challenge of building upon the existing strong governance framework, and outstanding work of Mr. Walter. Richard has left big shoes to fill and they will take some filling however I am totally committed to the role” she said.
