Mackie House benefits from Keith’s donation
12 February 2008

Mackie House resident Keith Brown has donated $5,000 to the Coleraine Aged Care Hostel where he has lived for the past four years.

Mr Brown has been a resident of Mackie House since August 2004, and is well-known in Coleraine, where he always greets people with a smile. There are plenty of days where he can be seen waiting out the front of Mackie House for the postman to deliver the mail.

Coleraine and District Health Service Manager/ Director of Nursing Tim Pitt-Lancaster, said Mr Brown’s donation had enabled the health service to purchase equipment to enhance the day-to-day experience for the Mackie Court residents.

CDHS has purchased an electric bed, a large outdoor setting, a digital camera and a couple of portable CD players with Mr Brown’s $5,000 donation.
