IGA Showing the way in Community Support.

20 February 2010

Western District Chief Executive Officer, Jim Fletcher said “We could not do everything we do for patients and the community without the fantastic support we receive from IGA and other local businesses. We are very grateful for the continued support IGA has given us over the years. Their donations have contributed towards the purchase of a number of essential pieces of equipment for the Hamilton Base Hospital, including a CTG scanner, clinic examination table, integrated anaesthetic machines and monitors, bronchoscope, bladder scanner and portable ultrasound.”

IGA Donation

Fishers IGA Manager, Anthony Radcliffe said “We are very happy to be able to support various causes in the local community through our Community Benefit Program. It is a great way for people to make a contribution because 1% of every dollar they spend with our supermarket is donated to the local charity or group of their choice. People who participate in the program say it gives them a sense of making a difference where it is needed in their own local community.”
