WDHS & Taylor Motors Join Forces to Promote Work Health Checks at Sheepvention

During two busy days at Sheepvention this year, 270 people participated in free health checks at the WDHS site.

Western District Health Service with support from Taylor Motors Hamilton offered the Victorian State Government funded WorkHealth Checks at Sheepvention this year. The WorkHealth initiative provided a free 10 minute physical assessment to those who wished to participate.

Visitors to Sheepvention were able to access WDHS health professionals for a free WorkHealth Check.  All the information collected is confidential and participants received a comprehensive evaluation of their health indicators including cholesterol, blood glucose, blood pressure and any need for medical follow up if required. Western District Health Service Chief Executive Officer Jim Fletcher said” the work health checks were an outstanding success creating greater  awareness of the need  for a regular health checks and what action individuals could take to improve their health & well being through diet and regular exercise.”
