Jenny Retires after 40 Years Service

Western District Health Service has bid a fond farewell to long serving employee Ms Jenny Jensz this month. Jenny has retired from her role as a nurse in the surgical unit and Lymphoedema nurse at Hamilton Base Hospital after 40 years of service.
Ms Jensz commenced her nursing training in June 1970 and over the past 40 years she has worked in many areas of the hospital.
She has served on the Board of the Victorian Nursing Council and the Nurses Board of Victoria and was instrumental in advocating for nursing education and training across Victoria. She was also a Board Member of South West TAFE for many years.
Western District Health Service Chief Executive Mr Jim Fletcher said “Jenny Jenz was an extremely loyal , dedicated and highly valued employee who always had the interest of our health service and nursing profession at heart and we will certainly miss her “.
“I understand that she will be continuing on with her specialist Lymphoedema compression garment service provided to the community in a private capacity which is a great service to have available in a rural community” he said.
Ms Jensz said “I will be kept busy with my business ‘Jenny’s Specialised Compression Garments’, making compression garments for all forms of swelling, and I am looking forward to having more leisure time to travel and pursue my passion for classic cars with my partner . I am now looking forward to this next phase of my life “
