Western District Health Service is seeking applications from an enthusiastic and highly motivated Physiotherapists to join our dynamic and expanding physiotherapy department. New graduates and experienced physiotherapists are encouraged to apply for this position. As a member of our busy department you will work in a rural city setting and gain a wide variety of exposure to all aspects of physiotherapy practice. The position involves clinical duties with a rotating roster. Areas of practice cover generalist acute (medical, surgical, midwifery and ICU), sub-acute rehab, out patients, aged care and community practice. Clinical and peer support is provided, along with access to high quality local professional development. The position provides an ideal introduction to a combination of general practice, developing a high level of independence in your clinical and management skills to enhance your future career prospects. The successful applicants will have completed an entry-level Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree or equivalent and be eligible for registration as a Physiotherapist in the State of Victoria. Copies of academic transcripts should be included with applications. A current driver’s licence is essential and appointment is subject to a satisfactory current Police Check. Remuneration will be as per the Health Professional Award. Salary packaging is available to the successful applicant. Starting date is negotiable.
