The National Centre for Farmer Health is a new university research, service delivery and education centre providing national leadership to improve the health and well being of farm workers and their families across Australia.  The Centre is a partnership between Western District Health Service and Deakin University, School of Medicine and is based in Hamilton, Western Victoria.

The AgriSafe Clinician will serve the needs of the agricultural community by ensuring that agricultural health and safety programs are delivered through the coordination of the AgriSafe clinics whilst liaising with AgriSafe™ USA.  Duties will include planning, implementing, running and supporting partnership AgriSafe clinics.  An ability to undertake clinical assessments, including audiology tests, pulmonary tests, visual acuity tests and other screening tests will be required.   The AgriSafe Clinician also disseminates important health wellbeing and safety information to farm families, agricultural workers and other rural professionals.  The appointee is a vital linkage to other health and rural professionals, providing up to date agricultural health and safety and wellbeing information.


Some travel maybe included in Victoria.  Ability to work within designated timeframes and capacity to claim MBS items maybe an advantage.  Professional development in Agricultural Health and Medicine will be provided if required.  Proposed start date – immediate.
