Where is Hamilton?

Hamilton is located 4 hours drive from Melbourne and 5 hours from Adelaide in the "Green Triangle" of Western Victoria.

How do I get to the Hospital?

Is parking available?

  • Car parking is available next to the hospital building in Foster Street and also off Tyers Street.
  • Disabled parking is available at the front entrance of the hospital as well as at the rear of the building.

Do I need to have private medical insurance to be treated at Western District Health Service?

Will I have a private room?

WDHS offers a range of shared and private rooms for patient comfort. We understand that different people have different needs and we will make every effort to provide the style of accommodation you prefer.

What happens with my medical record?

A record will be kept of your medical condition and treatment. This is confidential, with access to it being limited to health care professionals directly involved in your treatment. This medical record remains the property of the hospital. The contents of the medical record can only be divulged with your consent, or as required by law.
