Collaborative Courses - Deakin University & WDHS
Courses are conducted throughout the year based on identified needs and skill deficits.
- Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing & Perio-operative Nursing
- Graduate Diploma - Midwifery
The Department of Human Services funds students undertaking these courses with a grant of $15,300 each. These courses link with our service objectives in that they fill previously identified staff skill deficits in ICU, O.R. and Midwifery whilst providing a challenging course for participants. This education is by distance learning with an on site clinical teacher for four hours per week per student. Clinical placements in other agencies are arranged for these students.
Funding is available for re-entry and supervised practice courses for Division 1 and 2 Nurses who have let their registration lapse.
