Undergraduate Placements

Western District Health Service facilitates placements for students as part of their undergraduate and postgraduate studies in several disciplines.
We host many experienced and dedicated staff who provide a high standard of preceptorship and contribute to the professional development of students at varying skill levels, through coaching, supervising, mentoring and acting as role models.
Placements are available in acute and aged care nursing (Division 1 and 2), medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, pharmacy and community services.
Placements in other areas may also be available upon negotiation.
Our preceptees have commented on how welcome they are made to feel, the excellent support and learning opportunities that they receive and the positive attitude of the staff.
